Plot summary
Calvin has built a barbershop in Chicago that supports his family, but gang violence keeps rising around the neighborhood. Angie co-runs the shop, which shares its space with a women's section staffed by Bree and Draya, while Jerrod, Raja and Rashad work the men's chairs. Rashad's son Kenny spends time with Calvin's son Jalen, and one morning Calvin catches Kenny pocketing candy. Outside, a rival gang tries to take the boys' shoes before Yummy's crew steps in, and Yummy treats the boys as future recruits. Eddie bursts in convinced thugs are after him. A regular client, Jay, nearly comes to blows with Marquis in the shop until Calvin and Rashad step between them. Calvin has been talking with One-Stop about moving the shop north, a plan only his wife Jennifer knows.
