Plot summary
Lawrence and his twin brother Darius run a store in a small town in the Mississippi Delta. When Darius is found dead at the house the brothers share, Lawrence stops going to the store. Marlee, whom Darius left years earlier, is raising their son James on her own and works as a cleaner. James takes a gun from Lawrence's house and threatens him to get money for drugs, and when he fails to pay his dealer, he and Marlee are fired on from a passing car. With nowhere to stay, Marlee goes to Lawrence and asks why Darius left her and James.
