Plot summary
Ruthie hopes the stay at her grandmother's abandoned hotel, which she has inherited, will repair her troubled relationship with her girlfriend Cal. She has come for a few days with Cal, Maddie, their friend, and Fran. Cal wants her to run the place, and Ruthie reluctantly considers it. Hotel management videos on her phone feature a woman named Ms. Auerbach. Brian, the groundskeeper, arrives, upset that Ruthie's estranged mother ended their relationship before leaving town.
