Plot summary
Elizabeth Halsey teaches at John Adams Middle School in Chicago, where she curses at her students, drinks, smokes marijuana and lets the class watch movies while she sleeps. She planned to quit and marry her wealthy fiancé Mark, who ends the engagement, so she goes back to the classroom. She sets her sights on Scott Delacorte, a wealthy substitute teacher, and learns his former girlfriend had large breasts. Amy Squirrel, a dedicated colleague, also pursues Scott, and gym teacher Russell Gettis keeps asking Elizabeth out. To pay for breast implants, Elizabeth works a car wash in provocative clothing and talks parents into money for supplies and tutoring. A bonus offered to the teacher whose class earns the highest state test scores gives her another target.
