Plot summary
The scholarship that Lynn Kang receives takes her to an elite private school. She is a gifted student, and when she helps her classmate Grace cheat on a test, other students take notice. They offer her money for answers of their own. Piano training has left Lynn with a knowledge of music and of finger movements, and she turns this into a covert code for signaling correct responses during exams. Helping wealthy classmates brings her money and a chance to escape her roots, and it puts her future at risk.
