Rob Carpenter

Rob Carpenter is an actor and filmmaker who relocated to Vancouver in 1997 to pursue film work. Between 1998 and 2000 he wrote and directed five short films that screened locally while trying to enter acting. In 2001 he joined the independent horror company Creepy Six Films as a producer; its first feature, Carmilla, was completed in 2004 and gained global distribution. Two more features followed before he returned to acting at the end of 2004, averaging about 30 independent and larger-budget projects over two years. His later work includes Terminus, in which he played a man pursued by a large stone creature, and The Porcelain Man, which won two Leo awards in 2008. When Life Was Good began its festival run in September 2008. He also took the lead detective role in the noir-style thriller The Hard Cut, doing his own stunts and fight sequences.
