Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con a Con (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Aurora Teagarden and Nick have two months until their wedding and are settling its last details when her mother Aida, a real estate agent, learns that a wealthy client of hers has been killed. The sale of the client's house had stalled on two problems. A former contractor had put a lien on it over work the client thought unfinished and refused to pay for. An unknown person also held a loan against the house and had been steadily paying it down, and neither homeowner knew of it. If that loan is what it seems, it belongs to a pyramid scheme, the subject of a recent Real Murders Club presentation. Police weigh the contractor, the victim's business associates and family members as suspects while Aurora and the club try to find who took out the loan.
