Plot summary

David Linderby and his wife Anansa work as doctors for the World Health Organization. Their medical mission brings an inoculation program to a village in West Africa. While David photographs the dancers, Anansa swims alone and slave traders seize her, taking her for an Ashanti local. Suleiman leads the raiders. The police cannot find her, and the region's authorities deny that a slave trade exists. Word reaches David that Suleiman means to sell Anansa to Prince Hassan.
