Plot summary
Robert Miller runs a New York hedge fund with his daughter Brooke, and he is close to selling it. The buyer, James Mayfield, keeps stalling, and the associate who lent Miller $412 million to cover an investment loss wants the money back before the audit for the sale is finished. Miller has also been seeing Julie Côte, a gallery owner he has helped financially, and he has promised to attend her show on the same night he is due to sign contracts at a restaurant. Julie keeps calling while Mayfield fails to appear, and Brooke tells her father she has found discrepancies in old ledgers.
