Plot summary
Master Shake takes up a new exercise machine, the Insanoflex, but it was not put together correctly and its instructions are nowhere in the house. Frylock finds them online, where a message warns that the machine must not be assembled. He calls the number on the page and reaches Emory and Oglethorpe, a pair of Plutonian aliens. On their ship, the two meet the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future, who explains what the machine does: assembled, it will work a man into a super-being who attracts every woman on Earth. To stop that, the Ghost traveled back in time and took one screw. The Plutonians point out that a screw is easy to replace, and they decide they want the machine for themselves.

- Police in Boston were called about devices that looked like bombs but turned out to be Lite-Brite-style electronic signs showing the Mooninites Ignignokt and Err giving the finger, part of a Cartoon Network-authorized guerrilla marketing campaign.
- The film was the first and only time an Adult Swim series was adapted into a theatrical feature, and the second Cartoon Network-owned property to get one after The Powerpuff Girls Movie (2002); Warner Bros. declined to distribute it after that film's box office failure.
- Mastodon said they would perform during the opening animated as a bucket of popcorn, a soda, a hot dog and a candy bar, but in the film they were actually animated as a pretzel, a pile of nachos, an "Icecaps" box and a gumdrop.
- The film's soundtrack features new, original music from Mastodon, Killer Mike and Unearth, but omits Phil Collins's "In the Air Tonight", which prominently features at the end of the film.
