Plot summary
Human brain fluid keeps android brains working, so the androids who run Earth depend on people. The humans living under them believe they remain in control, and a scientist has found a way to make the fluid artificially instead. Jute, a human convicted of killing an android, is sent to a prison run by androids. DeeCee, an android who is starting to feel, rides in the same vehicle.
