Plot summary
Valentin Valentin is a gentleman burglar in the manner of Arsène Lupin, and the police are looking for him. He boards a sailboat and sets out on a tour of the world. Jane Lester is a jazz singer in an American-style bar. She dreams of leaving that bar behind. The two meet and fall in love. Both are coping with memory problems. They cross paths at a hotel on Morocco's coast, the scene of a jewelry theft.
