Plot summary
Chris McKinley has finished college and is backpacking through Europe, counting the last days of freedom before he takes up a career waiting for him in the United States. In Pamplona he is joined by his friends Ryan and Michelle, and there he meets three strangers: an Australian thrill-seeker, a Spanish woman named Adela, and Riccardo, a provocateur. The three of them challenge his plans and urge him to look again at the life he has mapped out. With his departure closing in, Chris weighs the settled path he has prepared for himself against a different life he has only begun to glimpse.
