Plot summary
Detective Tony Luca comes off a failed undercover operation against the gangster Rocco and is handed a homicide case: a Yakuza leader has been killed. At the scene he finds a folded origami lotus marked with the sign of the Black Lotus Society. His captain pairs him with Detective Kim, a Seoul officer who knows the society's assassins. More killings follow, and the targets are mob figures from both the Yakuza and the Mafia, cut down by a killer Kim calls Shadow. Kim and Luca work the case together, questioning a Yakuza businessman and a Mafia informant as they try to learn who is behind the attacks and stop the two organizations from turning on each other.
