Plot summary
Five women who have come to New York from five different countries each face a personal conflict of their own. Liliana, Valerie, Kasoke, Jin and Marta live in the city while the Occupy Wall Street protests of 2011 go on around them, and their separate stories intersect. The project grew out of true stories, and filmmakers and performers, among them people who are not actors, developed the story and the characters together, improvising every scene and every line of dialogue. Some scenes were shot with performers taking part in the actual protests.
