Plot summary
Lello Mascetti, Guido Necchi, Rambaldo Melandri and Professor Sassaroli are four Tuscan friends past sixty and nearing retirement who still fill much of their time with practical jokes. Of the four, Mascetti is the most unfortunate: he uses a wheelchair and he lost his wife in a road accident. The others persuade him to move into a retirement home, where he keeps up his jokes on the patients and the nurses, with his supercazzola. Melandri, an architect, and Necchi, who keeps a bar, join him at the home, and with the surgeon Sassaroli the four play their tricks on the other elderly residents.
