Alien Invasion: S.U.M.1 (2017) on Netflix

Plot summary

After training, Private S.U.M.1 rides a tank to Outpost Cerberus for a hundred-day deployment, passing refugees running toward Exilium. The tank leaves. His first attempt to enter the housing bunker fails because the door is stuck, so he climbs the sentry tower. His superiors report that the previous occupant, V.A.X.7, was evacuated for medical reasons, and they give him the day's access code and the way in through the back. The residence is untidy and mostly empty, with six bunks and a central table; he stores his rations and cleans. Each day repeats: a wake-up alarm that counts down the days of his service, exercise, a shower, a check-in and a single cigarette. Loudspeakers outside call surviving humans to Exilium for protection from the Nonsuch. When a broadcast reports an attack on Outpost Lalops, he watches explosions from his balcony.
