About Endlessness (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

A narrator leads the way through a series of vignettes. A man and a woman sit on a park bench above a city while geese fly over, and she remarks that it is September. A man tells of meeting Sverker Olsson, a former classmate he wronged in the past, and of being ignored when he tries to greet him. A waiter pours wine until the glass overflows onto the table. A man lifts his mattress to check the savings he keeps there because he does not trust banks. A priest has a vivid nightmare in which he is crucified, and his wife calms him so he can sleep again. He takes his growing doubt about God to Dr. Lindh, who calls the dreams simple nightmares, suggests that God does not exist, and asks him to come back the following week.
