Plot summary
Mia brings Tim to her father Lasse's sixtieth birthday party and announces their engagement there. At the same party, Lasse proposes to Elizabeth, the woman he lives with. Mia has not visited her father in years. She meets Elizabeth's daughter Frida and is wary of being accepted into the family, and she reluctantly agrees to a weekend trip to Fyn, a Danish island, with Frida and Elizabeth. When the two must share a bedroom, Mia becomes fascinated by Frida's free-spirited enjoyment of life. Mia and Frida are both in their thirties and will become stepsisters.
