Plot summary
Ewa Tanguy runs the Swedish Security Service and is the mother of Nathalie, the seven-year-old goddaughter of the Swedish intelligence officer Carl Hamilton. Ewa helps thwart an assassination attempt on Swedish soil, and the assassin is killed in her presence. The attention on her grows, yet she keeps her promise to give a newspaper interview. Journalists twist her words, which provokes Islamists, and Nathalie is kidnapped. The girl is recording video on her smartphone during the kidnapping, and the footage gives Hamilton a trace.
