Plot summary
Will Hawkins lands in trouble with the law after he takes a police car, and Mark tells him juvenile hall is his last option. He has spent six years in foster care, been expelled from seven schools, and moved through twenty-two homes. A foster mother, Kristin, visiting Mark with her son George, offers Will a place for the coming year if he spends a week at a summer camp. Facing juvie, he agrees. The camp turns out to be Christian, a world he does not know. There he notices Avery, and George introduces him to Sean. Will invents a story that he and George are cousins rather than share his past. When George admits he likes Presley, the two cabinmates agree to help each other with their crushes.
