Plot summary
Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Scott Mescudi's 2009 debut album as Kid Cudi, broke barriers by carrying songs about depression, anxiety and loneliness to a wide young audience and made him a star. That record and the decade of work around it are the subject of the documentary. It covers the creative choices Mescudi, a musician and actor, made from there, the difficulties he went through and the breakthroughs that carried his music forward to listeners around the world. The title comes from a mixtape he set aside, and it recalls his 2008 breakout mixtape A Kid Named Cudi.
