Plot summary

Michael Donovan is a young television producer who chases women. He meets Katherine, an elementary school teacher, and the two are together for a long time before they marry. He does not hide his womanizing, and Katherine, who is in love with him, is willing to overlook it and believes marriage may change things. Michael sets out to give up the habit. To entertain Katherine's class he films himself in his studio as The Sandman, seated on a makeshift moon against a starry background, telling the children stories. On his job he is surrounded by temptations he struggles to resist.
