Plot summary
Francisco Francis and his wife Mia hide in the Ecuadorian jungle while soldiers hunt them after Francisco takes files from a Clearbec office. Tony Green tells Bruce Swinton about the theft as gunfire spreads through the city, and Tony pulls young aide Renaldo into his car. Jack Begosian, a former CIA operative, now takes callers on a political radio program and argues that water should not be a commodity to be bought and sold. Morgan Swinton is confronted by Renaldo as she leaves a hospital ceremony; he accuses Clearbec of murder and says his message is in her car, then shoots himself. She listens to the tape he left, which records gunshots and screams and says the stolen papers link Clearbec to a typhus outbreak. Morgan asks her brother Bruce about Ecuador.
