Plot summary
Amber Moore is an American magazine journalist who hopes a royal assignment will be her big break. She travels to Aldovia for a press conference with Prince Richard, who is expected to take the throne after his father's death and is known as a playboy. The prince never appears, and Amber, lingering at the palace, is taken for Martha Anderson, the American tutor hired to teach the young Princess Emily. Amber says nothing to correct the mistake and keeps the name while she digs into talk that Richard means to abdicate. Emily tries to drive her away with pranks. Meeting the royal family, Amber recognizes Richard as the man she quarreled with over a taxi at the Aldovian airport.
