Plot summary
The rental is what draws them: a house big enough for a family of five, offered for their summer vacation at a rate far below what such a place should cost. The property stands in the middle of nowhere, and the family settles in believing it is theirs alone. Gerald, the man who owns it, has fitted the rooms with cameras the guests never spot, and the same is true of his other rental houses. What the cameras gather is intimate, and he sends the footage out as a live stream on the dark web, reaching an audience he wants to be as depraved as he is.
