Plot summary

Charity has lived through a Nigerian ghetto, and life there has left her beaten and hardened. She travels to Europe, where she works as an illegal prostitute and chases her dream of becoming rich. Her younger sister Happy is placed in her care, and Charity, without mercy, initiates the girl into the same world of prostitution. Happy resists the fate that has been handed to her, and that resistance puts Charity's dream of wealth in danger. The two of them are not alone: other women without registration go through the same hardship, exploitation and humiliation, meeting it with resilience and with song.
