Plot summary
Gunfire on a Brooklyn street kills a young girl on her own front steps. The shooting is unintentional, and the man who fired the shots is known in the neighborhood as Zooman. Dozens of people on the block saw the shooting, yet not one of them will come forward or give the police a name. Rueben Tate, the girl's father, is left with his grief and a case no witness will help close. He wants someone held responsible for his daughter's death, and he brings his appeal for justice to the media, hoping the attention will force a confrontation with the shooter.
