Indigo

Indigo is an actress and voice-over performer who began as a child, appearing in a commercial for Armour Hot Dog at five and building a reputation among casting directors through student films. Born Alyssa Ashley Nichols in Los Angeles in 1984, she came from an artistic family. Her first film role, at ten, was in the Showtime movie Zooman (1995), a version of the play Zooman and the Sign, playing a part alongside Louis Gossett Jr. She was accepted into the California State Summer School for the Arts, received a Governor's Medallion, and later chose the name Indigo. Her television work included guest appearances on Chicago Hope, NYPD Blue, Girlfriends, Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, recurring parts on Boston Public and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Weeds, which earned her a SAG ensemble nomination in 2007. She also voiced Huey in the Boondocks pilot and recorded radio commercials.
