Plot summary
Anna Montgomery is an aspiring chef whose dreams went on hold when her mother died. She works as a house sitter and dresses in her clients' clothes, imagining their lives for herself. After a big client drops her, she spends an evening with Matteo Costa, then finds a note from him urging her to chase her dreams and impulsively flies to Tuscany. A festival has filled every hotel, so she walks to Matteo's villa, finds the spare key and lets herself in. His mother Gabriella and Nonna Alessia catch her there, and Anna pretends to be Matteo's fiancée to avoid arrest. The family welcomes her, and she meets Michael, a cousin she already crossed paths with in town.
