Plot summary

Patrick lives alone in a mobile home at the far end of a caravan park, and late one night a storm breaks over it. A knock comes at his door, and a young woman stands there soaked through, asking for shelter. He says his car will not start, so he hands her a towel, tea and dry clothes, and she waits for hers to dry. When she asks to make a call, he gives her coins for a payphone outside a locked gate and warns that she cannot reach it by herself. As the hours pass she comes upon belongings that had belonged to other women, among them a locket holding hair, and her account of where she has been staying does not hold together. Patrick grows suspicious of her in turn.
