Plot summary
Yogi Bear and his friends take a tour of the Spruce Goose, the aircraft Howard Hughes built. While they are inside, the dome closes for the night and locks them in. Augie Doggie trips and opens a door, then they reach the cockpit. Yogi presses a button and the plane comes to life. They fly out of the dome, and when Yogi pulls back the wheel to avoid a bridge, the Spruce Goose lifts into the air and narrowly misses a hotel as it leaves Long Beach. A radio report tells them arctic animals at the South Pole are trapped by a snowstorm and cannot reach open water. They turn south to help, and meet Bernice, a girl separated from her mother on the same tour.
