Plot summary
A newly married couple, Kate and Jack, present a happy surface to the world, though both keep secrets they are not ready to share. They wake from a deep sleep in separate sealed rooms with no doors or windows, each holding a monitor with two buttons, one marked yes and one marked no, and a projection screen. Surveillance footage of their life together appears on the screen while the monitor poses questions, each stranger and harsher than the one before. The pair understand that a test of their relationship is being run, and that what they are asked to answer will decide more than the fate of their marriage.
