Plot summary
Oil has collapsed and gasoline is scarce. The food supply is gone, and cancer rates among women have climbed so high that the female population is depleted. What is left of society is violent and lawless, with biofuel, batteries, bullets and people used as currency while marauders roam the land. Wes Keller is a young man in this near-future America. He sets out to reach Plutopia, a mythical city said to run on cold fusion and clean energy, a place that may exist only in his mind.
