Plot summary
Sent to Normandy in November 1943 with the headquarters of Army Group B, Rommel is given the task of holding the French coast against the Allied landings that are expected. The fortifications are far from finished, work on the Atlantic Wall crawls, and most of the troops under him are conscripts with little training. Rommel presses his men to build faster and asks the High Command for experienced divisions, above all panzer and SS units, so that a landing can be met with a strong counter-attack. Hitler will not release the panzer divisions to him, and Rommel becomes aware of a plot against Hitler.
