Plot summary
Christopher Robin spent his childhood in the Hundred Acre Wood with a group of talking creatures, among them Eeyore, Piglet and Winnie-the-Pooh. He left them for college, and a winter without food followed. The starving creatures ate Eeyore, and the rest turned against humans and abandoned speech, returning to feral ways. Five years on, Christopher, now grown, comes back to the wood with his fiancée Mary and finds nobody there. Six university women, Maria, Jessica, Alice, Zoe, Lara and Tina, then take a cabin in the wood, so that Maria can get over a stalking experience.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Because Disney still held exclusive rights to its own depictions of Pooh and friends, Rhys Frake-Waterfield scrapped his first script, closer to A. A. Milne's books, and rewrote it to avoid any legal trouble.
- Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was shot in the Ashdown Forest of East Sussex over just six days in April 2022 on a budget of $20,000.
- After the film went viral overnight, producer Scott Jeffrey asked ITN for money to reshoot it entirely; ITN refused, fearing The Walt Disney Company would shut them down, but paid for pickup days, and Amber Doig-Thorne said the film was reshot at least three times.
SPOILER
In the original cut of the film, Christopher Robin was killed in the opening scene and it ended with Maria escaping and a narration revealing Pooh was arrested and imprisoned; Pooh appeared in only 20-25 minutes of the runtime.- An earlier, much darker version had people chained up and infant versions of Pooh locked in cages; the executive producers rejected it for a straightforward story about "hot girls in a cabin", which Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey found boring but made for the money.
- Composer Andrew Scott Bell drove from Los Angeles to San Francisco with his manager Mike Rosen to collect a honeycomb-filled violin from an experimental luthier for the film's score.
- The Hong Kong and Macau release was canceled over purported technical glitches but may have been censored because of internet memes comparing Winnie-the-Pooh to CCP general secretary Xi Jinping; Christopher Robin was banned in China in 2018 for that reason.
