Plot summary
The riding estate Gut Kaltenbach is in financial trouble, and Grandmother Maria, Sam and instructor Kaan work together to keep it going. Isabell Herburg is ambitious and offers them her support, though she also follows goals of her own. Ari, who acts on impulse, comes to Kaltenbach for riding training, where she forms a special bond with Windstorm, the horse the film series is named after, and makes friends with Mika. Mika and Ari look for a way to save the estate. They also try to protect Windstorm from Thordur Thorvaldson, a horse trainer who handles the animals in his care recklessly.
