Plot summary
After a botched drug deal leaves his parents dead, a boy runs from the scene and a bag lady takes him in. She teaches him about the Blue Coats, the cops, and the White Coats, the doctors. He grows up wild in the slums, and in time he becomes an urban Tarzan who defends innocents, known as an urban legend and a champion of street justice who espouses a 1960s philosophy and comes to the aid of the helpless and the oppressed. He carries a bow and arrow and makes his own equipment, among it a grappling hook built from an old umbrella, and a cat keeps him company. Jane, a concerned social worker, falls for him. Street gangs and drug dealers terrorize the people who live in the neighborhood.
