Plot summary
Michael is a policeman in San Diego. For Thanksgiving he travels to Los Angeles with his fiancée, Ashley Jenkins, to meet her family, and the couple plan to announce their engagement there. Ashley's relatives are a dysfunctional group, and Michael spends the holiday among them. Her father, Jake Jenkins, and her brother are the ones who give him the hardest time, and the fact that Michael is a cop is what they use to ridicule him.
