Plot summary
Marcus and Kevin Copeland are brothers and FBI agents in New York City. After they wreck a drug bust, Chief Elliott Gordon gives them a way to keep their jobs: travel with Brittany and Tiffany Wilson, the wealthy daughters of a cruise line owner, to a fashion event that lasts a weekend in the Hamptons. Wealthy people have been kidnapped in the city, and the sisters may be the next ones taken. Kevin loses control of the car on the drive when the sisters' dog Baby nearly jumps out of the window, and the two women suffer small cuts on their faces. Unwilling to appear in public, they go into hiding, and Kevin asks his makeup expert friend Josh to make prosthetic disguises so that he and Marcus can attend in the sisters' place.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The Wayans brothers pitched White Chicks to studios at the same time as a third Scary Movie. When Miramax pushed them to take a pay cut, Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory walked away from Scary Movie 3 and made this instead.
- Terry Crews sings Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" in the film, and the performance stuck to him for good: the song is now heavily associated with Crews rather than with its singer.
- Twenty-two years after release the film found a new audience during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when an AI-generated clip built on its "A Thousand Miles" scene, featuring Erling Haaland and Vinicius Junior, drew millions of views.
