Plot summary
MG and Gilbert are convicts on the run, armed, one of them wounded. They escape during a transfer between jails. When the police corner them, they take refuge in the house of the Roze family in a French suburb and decide to hold everyone inside hostage, just in case. The household is a middle-class couple about to celebrate twenty years of marriage that evening, with their eighteen-year-old daughter at home. The Rozes greet the two men warmly instead of resisting, and they even help them: the wound is dressed, clothes are washed, and a dinner with fine wines is served.
