Plot summary
The documentary follows chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen, his nonprofit, as the group feeds people in disaster zones. It begins with Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas, then moves to Haiti, where Andrés rushes with a small team after an earthquake strikes while he is vacationing in the Cayman Islands. Footage from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria shows the team at work. For each disaster, they map the affected area, build a first kitchen and cook familiar food for local residents, and Andrés asks groups such as the Red Cross and FEMA for help.
