Plot summary
Green Leaves Entertainment is a small production company in Sendai that has handled magicians, photo idols and fortune-tellers. Its last client has quit, and president Junko Tange settles on a new line of business: producing an idol group. She assigns Matsuda the job of putting one together from scratch. Singers already signed to other labels are out of reach, so he has to look for girls who can perform and are still available. His search brings him to a girl working in a maid café, a lead vocalist who was let go by another group, and a candidate who is only thirteen. The group they are meant to form is called Wake Up, Girls.
