Plot summary
Vicky is engaged to the reliable Doug and looks at love practically; Cristina is spontaneous and unsure of her direction. The two friends pass the summer in Barcelona, staying with Judy, a relative of Vicky's, and her husband Mark. At an art show, Cristina becomes curious about the painter Juan Antonio, and Judy remarks that he once had a violent marriage. He approaches the two women and asks them to join him in Oviedo for the weekend, flying them there himself, hoping to sleep with both. Cristina agrees at once, while Vicky is skeptical but goes along to keep an eye on her friend.
