Plot summary
Fred Parras is an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He meets his friend Abe Hawkins, and together they head to Fred's bar, a VFW hangout where old army friends Walter Reed, Lou Clayton, Thomas "Z" Zabriski and Doug McCarthy are waiting to celebrate Fred's birthday. Shaun Mason, a young Army Ranger on leave to see his wife, joins the gathering. The night changes when Lizard, a teenager, runs into the bar carrying a stash of Hype, a powerful and addictive drug sold by the gang leader Boz, who has been chasing her. Boz's crew comes to the bar looking for her, and the veterans take up every weapon the place offers to keep her and themselves safe.

- In June 2020, three crew members told The Daily Beast that actor Fred Williamson tried to grope an assistant costume designer during a wardrobe fitting, and that a hair and makeup department member later quit over an alleged "barrage of sexual overtures" from him. Williamson denied the allegations and remained on the project.
