Plot summary
Beth and Harry are marine biology students who want a holiday unlike any other. They arrange for a skipper named Jackson to leave them on a small, remote island on the Great Barrier Reef for ten days, with a camcorder to record what they do. At first the island seems perfect: reef, palms, birds, and nobody else. That changes within two days. Supplies vanish from their camp, a set of footprints appears in the sand, and the camera shows the couple being filmed in their sleep. In an old shack they find a drawing and seven tally marks on the wall, and beside it an abandoned grave. Beth wants to leave, but Harry stays, thinking children are playing pranks. Then the two of them see fishermen on a boat, carrying guns.
