Plot summary
Summer has reached its final weekend in southern California, and the Vals and the Lowks, two rival surf gangs, are confident they can take home the trophy at the coming surf contest. Reef Yorpin leads the Lowks. At a beach party his sister Allie meets Nick Rainwood, a surfer from the Val side, and the two fall for each other. Allie's loyalty to her brother's gang and Nick's place among the Vals leave the pair caught between the two groups.
