Plot summary
Anita Bergman is dying, and her four grown children come back to the family house in North Carolina to say a quick goodbye. Keith, Barry, Emily and Matthew are all under the same roof again. Their mother, in her own home, does not slip away as soon as everyone had counted on. The unexpected family reunion extends, and the short farewell that the brothers and sister had planned turns into an uncomfortable stay. The four of them are stuck in that house together for two weeks, facing her death and also what connects them to one another as a family.
