Plot summary
Rumors that the Beatles might play together again were widespread in the 1970s, and Paul McCartney, still reaching number one with his band Wings, is on the New York leg of a world tour. John Lennon, meanwhile, has retired from public life and lives at the Dakota, raising his son, Sean. Paul turns up at the apartment without warning, while Yoko is away, and the two men exchange small talk and insults and end up at the piano. Difficulties between the two men developed after John married Yoko Ono. Paul is intrigued by the possibility of the band reuniting; John is content to keep Beatlemania in the past.
