Plot summary
In Hong Kong, Uncle Kwan leads the Hung Hing Gang. His son Lee Man-ho lives in the United States with a family of his own, far from the gang his father leads. An ambush by a rival gang kills Uncle Kwan, and Lee Man-ho comes back for the funeral. The Hung Hing members elect him as his father's successor, though he knows little of the triad culture. Yeung Kong, Uncle Ping's son, scolds him for that ignorance, and Kong has no patience for Tse Shing. The two brawl at a banquet, and Lee Man-ho steps in to keep the peace, and the gang's members become loyal to a leader who is kind to them.
